Sanny Ensing is an award-winning journalist and feature writer. She has extensive knowledge of Caribbean cultural heritage and an MA in Cultural Studies and Anthropology. She is the author of the book Caught in Time; St.Maarten Intangible Cultural Heritage financed by the Prins Bernhard Cultural Fund Caribbean. As a writer, journalist and content manager for The Daily Herald supplements her articles and columns have appeared throughout the Caribbean. As a travel journalist she won the No Anansi Story award for Best Caribbean-based feature (The flavours of Grenada) by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) during the Caribbean Week New York Media Awards. Today she works as editor at Yellow & Finch Publishers in The Netherlands and as online associate editor for Destination St. Maarten/St. Maarten. She freelances for various magazines in the Caribbean, and, together with her dad, manages the family business Onima Aloe Vera that is located in Bonaire.
